An Indonesian single fighter jet Skyhawk 200 crashed and exploded in a residential area and exploded in a residential area, the village of Pasir Putih, Kampar regency, Pekanbaru, Riau, Tuesday (16/10), this morning around 10:00 am during a routine practice flight as official and local media reported.

Second Lieutenant (pilot) Reza Yori Prasetyo, pilot who fly the plane safely ejected the ejection seat before the crash and fell in a pool owned by residents.
The pilot has now have been evacuated to Pekanbaru Military airport.

“The fighter aircraft crashed in a residential area,” Gagah Prakoso, spokesman of the National Search and Rescue Agency (SAR) told the Jakarta Globe. “But since it is a military aircraft, I’m not authorized to talk about the details of [pilot].”

Security of Paskhas Air Force at the crash site was very tight. Journalists and prohibited villagers approached
Some media reported many cameras seized by Air Force personnel, including some residents reportedly was beaten while trying to close on the crash site.
The plane crashed about 3 miles from the air base in Pekanbaru, the location of the ill-fated aircraft was dispatched

The Hawk 200 plane was produced by British Aerospace — now called BAE Systems. It was flying over the provincial capital at 9:30 a.m. when it went down near Pandau Permai.
The Indonesian Military was investigating the cause of the accident.
